Privacy Policy

SignalFlow is designed with privacy as a foundation, not an afterthought. Your tracked time lives on your device — not on our servers. Because of that, this policy is deliberately short.

1. Who We Are

SignalFlow is an independent productivity application operated by a Canadian solo creator. It is created by ScrollBearer8 (🜂✦ — The Architect), an independent builder focused on clarity, structure, and meaningful systems. SignalFlow is the product brand name; ScrollBearer8 is the creator and rights holder behind the application. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, LLC as merchant of record. 2. Your Tracked Data Stays on Your Device

All data you enter into SignalFlow — tasks, notes, timers, and history — is stored exclusively on your device using your browser's local storage. This data is never transmitted to our servers, and we cannot see it. We do not collect your tracked productivity content, and no account is required to use the free tier. If you subscribe to the paid tier or contact support, we may receive limited billing or support information — such as your email address, subscription status, and the contents of your message — which we use only to provide the service and respond to you.

3. Anonymous Usage Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics on our website and application to understand overall visit volume. This measurement is aggregated and cookieless: it does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites, and does not let us identify individual visitors. It tells us how many visits occurred — not who you are. Aside from this aggregate counting, SignalFlow uses no tracking pixels, advertising networks, or third-party tracking technology.

4. Payment & License Data

If you subscribe to SignalFlow's paid tier, payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC, which acts as the merchant of record for the transaction. SignalFlow does not receive, store, or have access to your payment card details. Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information and is available at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy. Lemon Squeezy provides us limited order and subscription-status information — such as your email address and whether a subscription is active — needed to manage your paid tier.

Pro is unlocked with a license key, not an account. When you enter your key, the application sends that key — and only that key — to Lemon Squeezy's license API to confirm it is valid, and re-checks it periodically. Your tasks, timers, notes, and history are never included in that request and never leave your device. The key and its validation status are stored locally in your browser alongside your other SignalFlow data.

5. Your Data & Your Rights

Because your tracked data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it at all times. You can delete all SignalFlow data by clearing your browser's local storage or uninstalling the application — no request to us is required. Note that because this data lives in your browser, clearing browser data, changing devices or browsers, or using private/incognito mode may delete or prevent access to your stored history; the built-in backup export exists for exactly this reason. Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as GDPR (EU), PIPEDA (Canada), or CCPA (California) may give you rights including access, correction, and deletion of personal data. Your tracked content never reaches us, so those rights are largely satisfied by the architecture itself; for any billing or support information we do hold, you may request access, correction, or deletion at any time.

6. Children's Privacy

SignalFlow is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone below the minimum age permitted by applicable law.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially — for example, if we introduce accounts or cloud sync in the future — we will update the effective date and note the change in the application. Continued use of SignalFlow after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

By using SignalFlow, you agree to these terms. They are written plainly and without unnecessary legalese.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SignalFlow, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

2. Description of Service

SignalFlow is a personal productivity application that helps you track time spent on tasks, classify work as Overhead or Real Work, and generate reports. SignalFlow is operated by a Canadian solo creator, and is created and owned by ScrollBearer8 (🜂✦ — The Architect). The application operates locally on your device. No account creation is required to use the free tier.

3. Free Tier

SignalFlow offers a free tier at no cost, which includes the core time-tracking system with Overhead / Real Work classification, up to three active tasks at a time (completing a task frees a slot), the daily signal, and the weekly report for the current week and the previous week. The free tier is currently offered free of charge, and no credit card or sign-up is required to use it.

4. Paid Tier (Pro)

The paid tier is available for $5.00 USD per month and includes everything in the free tier, plus unlimited tasks, full report history (navigate back to any tracked week), the Analytics view with your all-time Real Work share and long-range trend, PDF report export, Correction Mode (the ability to edit historical entries when the record needs cleanup), and future professional features. Subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which access reverts to the free tier. Your data is never deleted when a subscription ends — only Pro features lock.

5. Payment & License Keys

Payments are processed securely by Lemon Squeezy, LLC, which acts as the merchant of record for all SignalFlow purchases — meaning Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record and handles payment processing and applicable sales taxes. By subscribing, you authorize recurring monthly charges to your payment method until you cancel. SignalFlow does not store your payment details.

After purchase, Pro is unlocked with a license key delivered to your email. Your key is for your personal use: you may activate it on your own devices up to its activation limit, but you may not share, resell, or publish it. Keys tied to a lapsed, refunded, or cancelled subscription will stop validating, at which point access reverts to the free tier.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to use SignalFlow for lawful purposes only; not to attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of SignalFlow; and not to use SignalFlow in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service.

7. Intellectual Property

SignalFlow is created and owned by ScrollBearer8 (🜂✦ — The Architect). The SignalFlow application, logo, visual identity, source code, product design, brand materials, and associated creative work, as used in connection with this application, are the property of ScrollBearer8. This includes the application's design language, brand voice, and all associated creative work. Nothing in these terms grants you any ownership rights in the application.

8. Data & Local Storage

All data you create in SignalFlow is stored locally on your device. SignalFlow is not a system of record and should not be relied on as the sole copy of important billing, payroll, legal, compliance, financial, or business records. You are responsible for preserving any records that matter to you, including by using the built-in backup export, PDF export (paid tier), or other independent records. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from browser cache clearing, local storage limits, device changes, application uninstallation, browser settings, user error, software updates, or any other event affecting your local device or browser storage.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

SignalFlow is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of SignalFlow is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SignalFlow and ScrollBearer8 (🜂✦ — The Architect) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost revenue, lost business opportunities, loss of goodwill, or loss of data — arising from your use of or inability to use SignalFlow.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim relating to SignalFlow shall not exceed the amount you paid for SignalFlow during the three months before the claim arose, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be brought in the courts located in Manitoba, Canada, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the application. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Refund Policy

SIGNALFLOW — PAID TIER SUBSCRIPTION · EFFECTIVE JULY 2026
We want you to be satisfied with SignalFlow. Our refund policy is simple, fair, and no-questions-asked within the stated window.

1. 7-Day Refund Guarantee

If you subscribe to the SignalFlow paid tier and are not satisfied for any reason, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of your initial purchase date. No explanation is required. To request a refund, email support@signalflow1.app with the subject line "Refund Request" and the email address associated with your payment. Approved refund requests are processed as soon as reasonably possible, typically within 5 business days.

2. Eligibility

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 calendar days of the initial subscription purchase. The 7-day guarantee applies to first-time subscribers only. Except where required by applicable law, refunds are not available for subsequent monthly renewal charges, or after the 7-day window has passed.

3. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future charges but does not automatically trigger a refund. After cancellation, you retain access to the paid tier until the end of your current billing period, then revert to the free tier.

4. Processing

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. Processing time is typically 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer. Lemon Squeezy, as merchant of record, handles the refund transaction. When a subscription is refunded, its license key stops validating and access reverts to the free tier; your locally stored data is unaffected.
